the hot birds hit the wellington 7’s

A couple of weeks ago we decided to go to the wellington 7’s; a great event where everyone dresses up and watches international 7’s rugby at the cake tin. Last year we went as flimangos; a fantastic costume that was going to be hard to live up to. We defiantly set the standard as there were a good three groups that attempted to come as flimingos this year.

So we decided to keep our following as ‘the hot birds’ and go as canaries. The following continues, what a great weekend. I especially liked the mating and warning calls, bower dance movements and high maintenance fanning. Thanks to all the lovely people we met and partied with and a special thanks to my fellow canaries. The hot birds continue to crank in style!*

There is always so much disappointment when 7’s tickets are released and you don’t get one. But if you are determined enough you will find them. Last week a group of us got our hands on those hot little tickets! So now the question is what to go as?

Last year we went as Flamingos. A perfect choice as it was cute, light and breezy for the scorcher that 7’s always attracts and stood out in the crowd. And that is very important as it’s all about camera time people ;-)

Suggestions?
