chic yet luxurious

So my last post stated I was going to spend my Friday night at home cleaning and reorganising my apartment. But it seems that my best friend (alcohol) and I have a bit of catching up to do over the weekend, so my decorating plans went on hold.

time for change

With the end of the year approaching and summer kicking in we have flat mates moving out and things moving around. I’m excited about going home this Friday night, cleaning my house and moving things around to make it look pretty. Which also means the need to buy new things to decorate with, shame. However my bank account isn’t exactly bursting at the pockets right now so I have subtly sent my family links to all the wonderful things I add to my wish list. And the great thing is they can buy them then and there on line! Above I share some of the things that keep me awake at night, I love that i probably wouldn’t use most of the things and they are surely decrotavie, ultimate consumer. Enjoy

I saw the pitch for this a couple of months ago and was ever so excited. So when I received an email informing me of its launch this morning, I was over the moon!

Closet Couture is your online wardrobe, it allows you to see what items you have in your closet and prepare outfits in advance. This is especially handy at this time of year when there is Christmas parties, drinks and catch ups to be had, I would hate for someone to see me in the same thing twice. It also offers a personal stylist option. This is great if you got yourself into a bit of a bother finding a pair of shoes to match that beautiful, new, buttercup yellow dress. You hire a stylist of your choice and they come back to you with a list of options. Personally I have never found the idea of having a personal stylist that exciting. What’s the point of working hard for your money if you can’t go out and spend it! Anyway take a tour and check it out, it’s gold! I can see the i phone app not too far behind.

I’m so very envious of this blog. Oh I wish I had the time and dedication (because I should just find the time) to keep a visual blog. Yuki posts a photo of her surroundings which are usually colored in pastel colors, soft and dreamy, mmm.

kindred

Kindred is a new project with holly from decor8 and ez from creature comforts - “two passionate, prolific bloggers and friends who live thousands of miles apart and have never met in person. Through reading one another’s blogs they realized that they share many of the same dreams and passions and so these kindred spirits to decided to team up and work on small projects together. Kindred was born.” These are a couple of images from their first project “Wallpaper Together”.
I have the first one as the wallpaper on office computer. It reminds me of all the joys being a girl holds.

the unicorn diaries

I stumbled across a blog today, it is ever so cute. The Unicorn diaries is written in a diary form starting with the ever so famous words “dear diary” with each entry.

I love this entry on Christmas. I’m so glad that someone else still lies in bed at night adding to their Santa wish list.

I also love this picture of her music box. Beautiful. I am very jealous and would like to have one too. Not the same though, because then it isn’t as special as it isn’t mine. I would only adore it if it had my childhood memories attached to it.

ban who? ban.do that's who

I have always admired the creative and stylish headbands that Ban.do do. I have tried to pull out my crafty skills and copy but they never seem to be as striking as theirs. I even got my girl guide unit to make some around Melbourne cup day. I think my expectations of a 7 year old girl to sew lace, feathers and material flowers onto a head band in the space of 20 minutes and make it look good were a little were a little high. Though I'm sure at that age I was an excellent sewer.

But now they have released a belt range. I’m sure the girls can manage that.
