I saw this post on the Cottingley Fairies on the cherry blossom girl the other day. It made me smile as I just love the story of two little girls trying to catch fairies by squashing them into their diaries. I also love how today there is a real miss understanding of if the story is indeed fact or fiction. Is this a story of witches and magic or just fact that has purely come from a small girl’s vivid imagination? I hunted through my books and found my copy of the diary that was re published about 5 years ago. The illustrations are wonderful and the type so descriptive. Below are some copies of the diary.
