recording travel

Today I came across The Interview Project (c/o my creative director). Basically it’s a team of guys travelling around the US over 70 days and interviewing people that the meet along the way. The explanation behind the project is a bit weak, well really it’s limp and piss pour but I think that i”m drawn to it because it’s about people, their experiences, hopes, dreams and thoughts. And I love the individual.

It reminds me a little bit of this post by daydream lily on the disposable memory project (pics above)– where people are leaving disposable cameras around the world, taking photos, passing them on and then sending them back to their owners to be printed and posted. Well kinda the same but not really, just similar concept of recording travel. But still both very cool ideas... Same, same but different.

brain dump

I love this site! So many wonderful ideas and such a nice simple way of presenting them. It’s also a good feeling to get ideas (no matter how crazy or bland) out of your head and onto paper as well. stealourideas.com is a blog written by Adam noel and Jon Kubik, who recently left the agency world.

downunder talent

I recently ran into this wonderful blog downunder talent, written by Julia; Interior designer and finder of cool and creative stuff in Australia and New Zealand. Recent posts include:

Perth illustrator Megan Isabella

Letter Press prints

And she also gave us (the farmers’ daughters) a lovely little mention as well.

Defiantly a blog to keep your eye on if you want to keep your finger on the pulse.

i am the other woman...

While I feel bad about this I am rather excited as well. Today it was revealed that Slice Blog has a new crush and it is me! What a special little lady I am. I must admit I do feel bad for Daydream Lily but as they mention in this post they still have a place for her in their heart.

Slice Blog was started to promote and encourage diversity in the arts and culture in Canada. They feature a range of posts including lists of 80’s and 90’s tv shows, appreciating the magnificence of nature, celebrating St Paddy’s day as well as sharing their procrastination techniques such as looking into the “Great Unsolved Mysteries in Candia History.”

I think i find a connection with Slice because they are Canadian. I have always had a soft spo tfor the Canadian culture and Slice are by far no exception.

Eat your heart out people.

something not so sweet, until now

PMS, it’s a horrible thing that every women goes through and men have to put up with. Not for much longer. By simply going to PMS Buddy, creating an account and adding women to your account you will start receiving PMS reminders.

It’s a shame the site is so ugly, because I think it’s a great idea!

You (a man) could be on your way home from work and receive a message that reminds you that when you get home your wife is entering the irritable, grumpy, I will bite someone’s head off if a crumb is left on the table top stage. So instead of picking that giant, black dildo and 2 tubes of lube on the way home you may want to look in at the florists a few doors down and pick up a bunch of her favourite flowers (sorry the alert won’t tell you what they are).

PMSBuddy.com - Saving relationships, one month at a time!

This could also be ideal for people who need to stay clear of Mothers, sisters or flat mates.
